Velvet Bow to Launch New Single

Bombora is an Indigenous Australian term for a wave that breaks outside the normal surf line. Back in 1963, The Atlantics had a number one hit with the surf instrumental track – the first Australian surf instrumental to achieve such a feat.

More than fifty years later and Surf Coast five-piece Velvet Bow have a little ‘Bombora’ magic of their own. Luke Wood, Ben Wade and Emma Hurley share the vocals in the band, with Peter Angliss and Matt Bourke completing the line-up.

They have been hard at work refining their sound and Bombora is the first taste, “a sun drenched, up-beat ode to the Victorian Surf Coast”. Head on down to Beav’s Bar, Geelong on April 24 to see what they’re about.
