The news follows last year’s celebration of their iconic album WACO, marking its 10-year anniversary with a limited-edition vinyl pressing. Fans were already buzzing when James Tidswell and Luke Boerdam joined Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus on stage at the Sydney Opera House, sparking whispers of a long-awaited comeback.
To mark WACO’s anniversary, Violent Soho are also releasing two limited-edition vinyl formats: a Standard LP (Clear/Red Splatter) and a Deluxe 2LP (Clear/Red Splatter and Clear/Black Splatter). The Deluxe set digs deeper, featuring unreleased B-sides, live recordings from mythic sets at Splendour in the Grass (2016 and 2022), the band’s legendary Mansfield Tavern Christmas shows, and their celebrated Like A Version of Silversun Pickups’ ‘Lazy Eye’. Pre-orders are open now, with shipping from Friday, 8 May.
Since forming in 2004 in Brisbane’s Mansfield, Violent Soho have carved out a unique place in Australian rock. Their relentless live energy, anthemic riffs, and keen ear for melody have won ARIA #1 albums, multiple ARIA Awards for Best Rock Album and Best Group, an AIR Award, and countless Platinum and Gold singles. Their track ‘Covered in Chrome’ even claimed #40 in the triple j Hottest 100 of All Time. Albums Everything Is A-OK and WACO both debuted at #1, and last year’s 10th anniversary repressing of Hungry Ghost returned to the ARIA top spot, proving the band’s enduring impact.
After nearly two decades of shaping the Australian music scene, Violent Soho briefly stepped back in 2022, leaving fans craving their distinctive, cathartic, loud-and-proud shows. Now, four years on, they’re ready to reclaim the stage and remind audiences why their name has become synonymous with raw, unmissable rock energy.
Pre-sale tickets go live Thursday, 23 April at 10AM local time via the band’s mailing list, with general tickets available from 10AM Friday, 24 April. Full details can be found here.
