VMDO launches Victorian Music Finder sync platform

The VMDO initiative in partnership with Level Two Music, is powered by DISCO, bringing a cloud-based music catalogue management and discovery platform to Victorian organisations.

“The Victorian Music Finder is an investment in the Victorian music ecosystem,” comments Kirsty Rivers, VMDO General Manager.

“While users benefit from streamlined access to high-quality, sync-ready music, local musicians gain increased visibility and direct licensing opportunities.”

Sync is a powerful tool for the music industry, one that generate meaningful revenue for artists and have direct chart impact. Ad association has ability to give songs long-term recognition and staying power.

This launch comes at a crucial time for the industry. According to The Bass Line report from Music Australia, synchronisation licensing generated $64 million for the Australian music industry in 2023, highlighting its growing significance as a revenue stream for artists and labels.
