Thelma Plum is heading on an intimate acoustic Australian tour

Thelma Plum is stripping things right back this winter, trading arena-sized energy for intimate rooms and raw storytelling as she takes her most personal tour yet across regional Australia.

The Gamilaraay artist will hit the road for the I Don’t Play That Song Anymore Tour, a run of special duo-format performances that place her unmistakable voice, candid lyricism and magnetic stage presence firmly in the spotlight. Swapping the full-band setup for acoustic arrangements and heartfelt conversation, the tour marks Plum’s first national acoustic run and promises an evening where the songs — and the stories behind them — are given room to truly breathe.

The tour kicks off in Victoria with four back to back regional dates; The Capital Bendigo on 09 July, Horsham Town Hall on 10 July, Geelong Arts Centre on 11 July, and 12 July at the Lighthouse Theatre in Warrnambool.

Fresh from the success of her ARIA Award-winning album I’m Sorry, Now Say It Back, Plum is leaning into a more vulnerable and reflective live experience, revisiting beloved tracks from her breakthrough Better In Blak era alongside newer material that has cemented her as one of Australia’s most compelling songwriting voices.

“I actually can’t believe that this is the first time I’ve done an acoustic tour,” Plum shared. “When I started out playing shows it was just me and a guitar, but it’s been a long time since I’ve performed like that. It feels like the perfect time to pack up the songbook and play some intimate shows with my friend Toby and let the songs and the stories behind them breathe!”

Stretching from Victoria through to Western Australia, Queensland, New South Wales and Tasmania, the tour will bring Plum’s emotionally charged catalogue to a string of regional theatres, halls and beloved live music spaces. For fans who missed her sold-out national run last year — or those eager to experience her songs in their purest form — these shows promise something genuinely special.

With multiple ARIA wins, Platinum-certified singles and a reputation for crafting deeply human songs that resonate long after the lights come up, Plum continues to stand tall as one of the country’s most vital artists. This tour offers a rare chance to witness that connection up close.
