Their highly anticipated album, Sungazer, drops on 10 July, offering a bold, anthemic evolution of the sound that has captivated fans worldwide. Sungazer marks a defining moment in The Temper Trap’s career, reflecting nearly two decades of evolution. Tracks like “Lucky Dimes” and “Giving Up Air” explore electronic textures and dancefloor energy, while the title track, “Into the Wild,” balances introspective lyricism with soaring crescendos. The album moves seamlessly from intimate reflection to cathartic release, marrying indie guitar riffs with bold electronic experimentation, all anchored by Dougy Mandagi’s unmistakable voice.
After intimate headline shows along Australia’s East Coast in 2025, the band are poised for a monumental return. Internationally, The Temper Trap will join UK rockers Muse on tour across North America, and headline festival stages at Outside Lands in San Francisco and Summerfest in Milwaukee, sharing the spotlight with acts including The Strokes, Rüfüs Du Sol, and Charli XCX.
Since bursting onto the global scene with their 2008 UK Top Ten debut single “Sweet Disposition,” The Temper Trap have become one of Australia’s most acclaimed musical exports. Their debut album, Conditions (2009), achieved multi-platinum success at home and gold status in the UK, paving the way for The Temper Trap (2012) and Thick As Thieves (2016). With billions of streams, multiple ARIA Awards, and performances on major international stages, their music continues to resonate worldwide.
Nearly two decades on, The Temper Trap remain committed to evolving while holding fast to the emotional core that has defined their sound. With Sungazer and a national tour on the horizon, these performances promise both reinvention and reaffirmation: intimate vulnerability delivered through soaring, communal anthems.
Frontier Touring members can access presale tickets from 10am on Thursday 16 April, with general public sales opening 11am Friday 17 April via frontiertouring.com/thetempertrap.
