Accompanying the ‘Discothèque Inside My Head’ release is the music video. As premiered at St Kilda Film Festival in June, it is their most ambitious visual development yet. The group onboarded Angeline Armstrong in the writers and director chair, alongside co-director Hamish MacGregor. The clip features a series of refreshingly quirky dance sequences by award-winning choreographer Zoee Marsh.
Frontperson Angeline Armstrong explains, “Sometimes all the noise and voices of my inner critic make me feel like I’m spinning around, lost in an overwhelming disco of light and sound inside my head. I’m discovering the key to living with that level of self-doubt and noise is learning to dance along with the discothèque”.
The release comes a week before the group head on the road in support of Norwegian artists girl in red where they will be playing stadiums and halls, Centenary in Perth on Thursday 11 July, Hordern Pavillion in Sydney on Sunday 14 July, Margaret Court Arena on Wednesday 17 July and Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane on Sunday 21 July, before embarking on their own headline dates for 13 shows.
Telenova will then jet across to Europe and the UK for 14 dates in celebration of Time Is A Flower.
