In the morning the upstairs Ryrie Street store will welcome UK multiplatinum artist Newton Faulkner for an intimate session under the ongoing Great Ocean Odes series for K Rock 95.5. Faulkner will be in town for his debut Australian tour for latest album OCTOPUS, playing at Barwon Club Hotel the night before. He will be supported by local songstress Jasmin Adria. The session will be broadcast live across the local rock station.

The afternoon will kick things up a level with a local recently reunited rockers The Vasco Era. The last twelve months has seen the band get back on the stage to celebrate their catalogue of tunes. The trio is supported by psychedelic duo Winksy, and Saint Ergo.

These sessions are free to attend and open to all ages. In addition, record collectors will be delighted by a extensive selection of Record Store Day stock, limited editions, and exclusives for the day.

It’s a huge gathering for the local store and a major celebration of record culture, not only in Geelong but across the globe.
