Perth prog heavyweights Karnivool are heading on their biggest tour to date

They're bringing two major international prog players along for the ride.

Perth’s progressive metal pioneers Karnivool are poised to unleash the monumental power of their number-one album, In Verses, on the road for the first time, in what promises to be the most ambitious headline run of their career. Joining them for the journey are UK prog-metal trailblazers TesseracT and New York extreme-metal innovators Car Bomb, guaranteeing a night of uncompromising sonic mastery.

The tour kicks off in their hometown at the Ice Cream Factory in Perth on July 18, before journeying across five capital cities and culminating at Brisbane’s Riverstage on July 25. Fans can expect a career-spanning set, a celebration of a band whose return has been eagerly awaited for more than a decade.

Thirteen years in the making, In Verses is a prog-metal masterpiece that captivated critics and fans alike. It’s meticulously layered, richly textured, yet remarkably welcoming—a rare album that soared straight to #1 on the ARIA Chart despite ignoring the usual algorithm-driven release strategies. The album’s closing track, Salva, with its swelling bagpipes and emotional crescendo, has become an online tear-jerker and a symbol of the resilience and perseverance that underpin Karnivool’s journey.
