The AO celebrates diversity with star-studded Pride Day lineup.

In a grand celebration of diversity and inclusion, The Australian Open gears up for its Pride Day on Thursday, 25th January, at the Finals Festival.

The lineup for this vibrant event features LGBTQI+ advocates Peach PRC, AO Pride Ambassador Tash Sultana, and the trailblazing ‘Raingurl’ creator, Yaeji, among other stellar performers, including Djanaba, Anesu, and DJ Luv You, who will take over the iconic John Cain Arena.

This powerful showcase serves as a testament to the Australian Open’s commitment to fostering a welcoming environment for the LGBTQI+ community. Pride Day emerged from a recognition that some individuals within the LGBTQI+ community have historically felt excluded in sporting environments.

Beyond the exhilarating Finals Festival performances, Pride Day promises to be a visual spectacle. Attendees can expect roaming drag queens and kings, glam stations for instant makeovers, rainbow roller skaters, and the iconic Rod Laver Arena aglow in a dazzling array of rainbow colours as evening falls.

Following last year’s sold-out success at Kia Arena, this year’s Finals Festival will make history at John Cain Arena with the biggest open-air music performance ever hosted in the arena’s existence.

With tickets in high demand, there are two options for eager fans. Match-goers can upgrade any tennis match ticket to gain access to the Finals Festival on that day. Alternatively, fans can purchase a dedicated Finals Festival day ticket, automatically including a ground pass for the full AO experience. Match ticket upgrades start at $40.00, and Finals Festival day passes (including a ground pass) start at $69.

Leading the music programming for the second year in a row is Untitled Group, Australia’s largest independent music and events promoter, renowned for events like Beyond The Valley, Wildlands, Grapevine Gathering, and Ability Fest.
