Fresh off the back of her critically acclaimed, ARIA-nominated album GEM, four-time ARIA Award-winner Meg Washington is hitting the road once again—this time with a huge 23-date national tour celebrating her brand-new single, Natural Beauty. Known for her masterful storytelling and goosebump-raising vocals, Meg will perform these shows completely solo—just her, a piano, and an audience spellbound by the honesty and intimacy of her craft. With five albums worth of material to draw from, no two nights will be the same.
“I grew up singing in jazz clubs, so these intimate solo shows feel so right to me,” Meg shares. “I love to improvise, and these shows are the perfect chance.”
The tour takes its name from her latest single, lifted from GEM and described by Meg as the emotional core of the record.
“‘Natural Beauty’ is the song at the heart of GEM. It took a long time to write. It’s the only piano song on the album and is written as a sort of list of various complaints I have about being an artist inside a capitalistic world,” she says. “I never imagined I would use ‘superannuation’ as a lyric, but the songs always find a way to startle me.”
The announcement also arrives during a major moment in Washington’s career. This month she took home ‘Best Original Song Composed for the Screen’ at the 2025 Screen Music Awards for Dream On, featured in BINGE’s How to Make Gravy—the film adaptation of Paul Kelly’s iconic Christmas track. She’s also up for Double J Australian Artist of the Year 2025 and scored a 2025 ARIA nomination for Best Adult Contemporary Album for GEM.
With her star burning brighter than ever, these upcoming dates promise to be something special—raw, intimate, and unmistakably Meg.
