BIGSOUND, Australia’s most celebrated music industry event, returns for its 25th year, bringing together tastemakers, industry influencers, and groundbreaking acts from across the globe. Taking place over three unforgettable nights in the first week of September 2026, this milestone event offers an unmatched platform for both emerging and established artists with applications now open.

Whether unsigned, a breakout act, or already established, BIGSOUND presents an exceptional opportunity for performers to showcase their talent to an influential global audience.

Performing at BIGSOUND is not only about the spotlight; it’s a chance to build connections, unlock career-defining moments, and elevate musical careers. This year’s event promises a pathway for artists through exposure to key industry professionals from media, labels, A&R, production, and more, along with networking opportunities through an exclusive delegate portal and live events, offering potential collaborations and international export chances. The showcase draws attention from both international and national figureheads with artists gaining access to international bookers, labels, and tastemakers from events like The Great Escape and Reeperbahn Festival. Additionally, selected applicants will also receive a delegate passes for access to conferences, workshops, one-on-one meetings, and more for that continued education and industry insights.

Applications close on Wednesday 1 April 2026 at 11:59PM, with no extensions.

The criteria of a great candidate

BIGSOUND is looking for artists who are export-ready, eager to showcase their unique sound, and at a stage in their career where they can maximise opportunities. Submissions should include the latest and most polished work, along with updated headshots, bios, and any notable achievements.

BIGSOUND has a proud history of showcasing talent that goes on to achieve major success, including G Flip, Flume, Rufus du Sol, Gang of Youths, and Thelma Plum. By applying, artists are joining a vibrant community of emerging and established talent.

• Band member names, roles, and birthdates

• Streaming numbers, ticket sales, and notable moments
