The tour coincides with the release of Cut Worms’ fourth full-length album, Transmitter, out now via Jagjaguwar. Produced by Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy at his Loft studio, the record deepens Clarke’s distinctive songwriting voice, conjuring “the ecstatic spirits of power pop and alt-rock” while exploring themes of connection, isolation, and the quiet costs of life mediated through technology. Singles like “Windows on the World,” “Evil Twin,” “Dreams,” and the latest focus track, “Long Weekend,” showcase Clarke’s deft balance of vintage sensibilities and modern introspection.

“The stories in these songs are equal parts innocence and experience—dealing with the ecstatic moments of being freshly enamoured with the world as well as the isolation and seclusion that can come after,” Clarke explains. Tweedy’s subtle, textural production helps shape these stories, colouring the spaces the songs inhabit without overshadowing Clarke’s signature voice and vision.

Accompanying Clarke on this Australian journey is John Andrews of John Andrews & The Yawns, fresh from supporting Alice Phoebe Lou in North America and Canada. Andrews’ own fifth album, STREETSWEEPER, is set for release on 3 April 2026 via Earth Libraries, promising a reflective and curious exploration of overlooked movements and quiet moments.

Several albums into his career, Clarke has matured into a songwriter of enduring depth, exploring beauty, connection, and love not as luxuries but as necessities. Transmitter finds him writing with the assuredness of an artist in full command of his craft, bridging past influences and present truths with a clarity that resonates at his own singular frequency.

This July, audiences across Australia will have the rare opportunity to experience Clarke and Andrews’ music and musings in close quarters, in spaces where every note and lyric carries intimacy and resonance.
