Following their acclaimed East Coast run earlier this year, revered Australian rockers Cog have unleashed the continuation of The Vinyl Tour, ready to close out 2024 with live shows in regional Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia this October and November, as well as an appearance for Crowbar Sydney’s birthday week.
Keep up with the latest music news, festivals, interviews and reviews here.
Kicking off off proceedings on Friday 4 October in Frankston, The Vinyl Tour Continued will head to Torquay, Byron Bay, Bunbury, Margaret River and Fremantle, with Cog also set to jump up on the hallowed stage of Crowbar Sydney on Friday 29 November for the venue’s inaugural birthday week. Renowned as one of the country’s consummate live acts, the tour will also continue Cog’s celebrations of the long-awaited release of their seminal albums The New Normal (2005) and Sharing Space (2008) on vinyl for the first time ever, as well as the first pressing of their compilation record Just Visiting (2008).
Emerging in the late 90s, Cog’s enduring legacy on the heavy music landscape has traversed decades, global touring, and a jubilant reunion back in 2016. Across their albums, they excelled but their live shows including festival appearances at Big Day Out, Falls Festival and Homebake cemented them as a revered live act, inflicting serious headbanging trauma on bodies across the country.
Cog will also be joined by some very special guests for The Vinyl Tour Continued, with Northern Rivers psychedelic surf rockers The Sea Benz set to support at all East Coast shows, experimental rockers Yomi Ship supporting in the West Coast, cathartic prog metal act Primrose Path joining Yomi Ship in Fremantle, and Gold Coast rock’n’roll renegades Hammers joining the festivities as main support for the Crowbar throw down.
Tickets for The Vinyl Tour Continued are currently on sale now and available here.
