Bendigo rockers Lost In The Past launch new single ‘Seat By The Fire’

The band are fast becoming Bendigo's big hitters!

Fast-rising Bendigo heavy rock/metal outfit Lost In The Past continue their momentum with the release of their second single, ‘Seat by the Fire’, out Wednesday 28 January, backed by a series of live shows across Victoria.

The band has been on a sharp upward trajectory since releasing their debut single ‘That’s That’ last August, which has already amassed close to 10,000 Spotify streams in more than 60 countries — a strong early indicator of their growing reach beyond the local scene.

Fronted by singer and lead guitarist Aaron Pearce, Lost In The Past draw inspiration from classic and modern heavyweights including Metallica, Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, System of a Down and AC/DC. The project first took shape in 2024 after informal school jam sessions evolved into original songwriting and live performances.

Since then, the lineup has expanded, with Riley Hayes joining on drums in July 2025 and Hayden Becker coming on board as rhythm guitarist in December, helping sharpen the band’s live sound and musical direction.

Pearce leads the songwriting process, typically developing instrumental foundations before layering lyrics over the top — an approach that has defined the band’s recent releases. ‘Seat by the Fire’ builds on that foundation, delivering a heavier, more confident step forward while maintaining the raw energy that has fuelled their early success.

To mark the release, Lost In The Past will hit the stage at several upcoming shows, including The American in Echuca on Friday 13 February, Creatures of Habit in Fitzroy on Wednesday 18 February (supporting RAMSTONE), and a hometown return to The Golden Vine in Bendigo on Saturday 21 February (supporting RAMSTONE).

With ambitions firmly set on album releases and touring as a full-time pursuit, Lost In The Past are positioning themselves as one of the region’s most promising young heavy acts.
