Now in its sixth year, Town Folk has firmly established itself as the boutique festival with a big-hearted vision. For those in the know, it’s the day to wander, discover, and immerse yourself in contemporary folk. The festival unfolds across four intimate stages, each a short stroll from the next, offering a choose-your-own-adventure of sound where every turn promises a musical treasure.
At the helm of this year’s lineup is New Zealand’s mercurial Aldous Harding, whose ethereal charm captivates at every note, alongside mid-west folk romantic Kevin Morby (USA). The program also features Dutch psych-instrumental innovators YĪN YĪN, Melbourne’s world-conquering Folk Bitch Trio, the eagerly anticipated Australian debut of UK folk outfit Flyte, slow-core New York storyteller Allegra Krieger, and WA bush reggae pioneers Docker River Band. Local favourites Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Way Dynamic, and Romy Vager round out a bill that balances international flair with homegrown brilliance.
Town Folk is as much about connection as it is music. Family-friendly and deeply rooted in community, it celebrates local produce, camaraderie, and the pure joy of shared experiences. Official festival venues—the Bridge Hotel, Shedshaker Taproom, and Boomtown Winery—sit at the heart of the action, creating a single, seamless day of discovery in regional Victoria.
Supported by the Federal Government through Live Music Australia, Visit Victoria, and Mount Alexander Shire Council, Town Folk continues to champion the artists, the audience, and the communities that bring this enchanting festival to life.
Tickets on sale 9:00 AM Thursday 21 May, and can be picked up at Townfolkfestival.com
