Co-produced by Frank Colucci (Ashnikko, Ethel Cain), CHUCK weaves through the wires of love and pain, finding the sparks that fly from the two live electrical currents; some leading to destructive displays, others lighting up in beautiful fashion.

Enter with ‘A Wonder Day’, a cocoon of contemplation where regret parallels resolution. On this, Drake draws from a timeless sound, full-bodied with delicious harmonies, gentle guitars and ambient strings. 

Lizzy McAlpine, Gracie Abrams, Julia Jacklin and the softer side of Olivia Rodrigo are resounding inspirations for Drake, but she’s not a carbon copy of the popstars. Drake moves between motions with a lightness, tapping into the heavens with the airy ambience of tracks like ‘Half Alive’ and ‘Alone’, whilst grounding herself with groove-laden ‘Paper Moons’ and ‘Brockwell’.

Single, ‘I Don’t Not Love You’ is a heartwrenching standout; a gorgeous display of dynamics where Drake’s storytelling is on show. Tantalisingly rich guitar licks and dragging drums are the bed for Drake’s honey-laced lyrics.
