Guy Sebastian to play album release party in Geelong next week

In a trifecta collaboration, Geelong Arts Centre, K-Rock 95.5 and Sony Music Australia are bringing the 'Battle Scars' singer to the region.

This morning, Geelong Arts Centre has announced Guy Sebastian will be playing an intimate and free release party at the centres The Open House next Wednesday 13 August. Titled the Open Door Session, the event will run from 6pm onwards and is an open invite to Geelong audiences.

The collaborative presentation from Geelong Arts Centre, Sony Music Australia and K rock 95.5, is a celebration to promote the release of Guy Sebastian’s latest album 100 Times Around The Sun which dropped this morning on all streaming services.

100 Times Around The Sun arrives nearly five years after The Voice judges previous album the ARIA-nominated T.R.U.T.H. The teasing began some two years ago with the release of the single ‘I Chose Good’, which was released in August 2023 and was followed up in 2024 with two more singles: ‘Antidote’ in February, and ‘No Reason To Stay’ that October. ‘Maybe’ hit us in April and then ‘Cupid’ was combined with the official album announcement. ‘Get It Done’ is the latest single to be offered up in advance.

In addition to the event being entirely free and open to all to attend, K Rock 95.5 are offering listeners the chance to win one of 10 VIP double passes, including VIP seats and hospitality, a copy of the new album and priority access to get it signed. All listeners have to do is tune into the station each morning.

For everyone else, come early, secure your spot and grab an album as Sebastian signs copies and treats the crowd to a couple of songs from the new release. Albums will be available for purchase at the event.

The event adds to Geelong Arts Centres massive offering for August, with a stellar lineup of events, productions and performances on offer.
