We know that Bell Street’s Torquay Hotel is a hub for live music, booking the hottest talent on the Australian and international front. August saw them bring out Rum Jungle, San Cisco, and North East Party House to name a few acts but September is looking even stronger.

In their most ambitious tour to date, psychedelic indie rock outfit Majak Door hit up Torquay Hotel in celebration of their latest record Fantasy Camp. Fantasy Camp sees the band expand from their norm, moving into the alterative rock space adding elements of violin and cello. They will be tackling the album in full at these tour shows. Give it a listen before heading along to their show.
An epic teaming up years in the making, Australia’s favourite punk rockers Dune Rats and US’s Fidlar are reunited for a riot. The Dune Rats / FIDLAR relationship has been a legendary touring brotherhood that has seen these two bands ping-pong across the globe side by side. They have spent the better part of a decade playing shows together, starting back when FIDLAR first ventured down under to join Dunies on a tour across Australia. These shows are bound to be bigger than Ben Hur in sound and energy! Get on down!
The biggest album of 2025 by far is Charli XCX’s brat. Redefining pop music and centring an entire summer around the hot girl vibe, brat is in album for the history books. In celebration of the green machine that produced ravers ‘360’, TikTok dance-trend ‘Apple’, and ‘Von Dutch’, Torquay Hotel will be hosting a release party with the tracks getting served across the decks. It’s bound to bring brat summer to the Surf Coast!
No stranger to bringing groove to the masses, Milo Eastwood started out on community radio as a teenager, and has spent every weekday for the last six years waking up Melbourne on PBS FM. His mixes have cemented him as a favourite for festival sets, with unparallel energy behind the decks. The dancefloors will be shaking when Eastwood enters Torquay Hotel on Saturday 21 September!
Another beat-maker, earth-quaker is X-Coast. Taking you into the public holiday for the Grand Final Weekend, X-Coast is joined Lucas Boston and & Mordi for back to back beats. Fresh off a world tour and standout performances at EDC Las Vegas and AVA Festival in Belfast, Serbian-born, Brooklyn-based producer, X-COAST is back down under to kick off Spring with his unmatched energy.
Rounding out a top tier month is Tash Sultana for a Lonely Land Liquids Party. Stepping away from her looping setup for the evening, Sultana will be setting up to DJ a dripping set, spinning an eclectic mix of queer anthems, soul, funk, disco as well as blending in unique remixes of their own songs. The tour further supports Sultana’s foundation, I Am Me Foundation, celebrating identity, unity, and the joy of live music. What’s not to get behind!
It’s a special September indeed at Torquay Hotel!
