Relays, the fiery three-piece punk band straight out of Dja Dja Wurrung country, are touring

Fresh off of signing on to Bendigo Records, Relays are hitting the road for a seven-date regional tour.

Drawing inspiration from punk legends like Dead Kennedys, Wipers, and Cosmic Psychos, Relays infuse their own raw attitude into every chord, creating quite the buzz as they slam into the scene.

In just five months, producer Shann Lions, drummer Mik Weird, and the sensational 23-year-old autistic wunderkind, Stanley Knife, on vocals and bass, have exploded, now showing what they are made of with a Victorian tour.

Circling through Kyneton, Bendigo, Castlemaine, Melbourne, Shepparton, Geelong and back to Bendigo again, the band’s live show promises to pack a punch, just as their records have. With over 24,000 combined plays on Spotify from their three digital singles released in 2024 alone, the band’s momentum is unstoppable. Their blistering live performances in Melbourne, Beechworth, and hometown Bendigo have only fueled their rise.

Recently, Relays completed their highly anticipated debut album at Head Gap Studio Preston, capturing the raw essence of life in regional Australia. Produced by Shann Lions and written collectively by the band, the album is a gritty reflection of their unfiltered sound.

What sets Relays apart is their commitment to authenticity. Forgoing studio gimmicks, the band opted for a live recording approach, capturing their raw energy and chemistry on two-inch tape.

As they gear up for the release of their debut album in the last quarter of 2024, Relays shows no signs of slowing down. To celebrate the release of their fifth single, ‘Kids Fattening Centre’, on 30 May, the band is embarking on a Victorian Tour alongside some of their favourite up-and-coming acts including The Mods, Software Update and The Chans.
