Lace up your skates, a free Christmas-themed roller skating rink has popped up in Carlton

Whether you’re looking for a rom-com-worthy date idea or a family activity to fill out the days before Christmas, this pop-up roller rink can’t be beaten.

Christmas has come to Carlton with a pop-up roller skating rink in Argyle Square, as part of Melbourne’s mammoth 2022 Christmas Festival.

Make your way to the giant glowing tree in Argyle Square in Carlton, then prepare to roll around to classic tunes with free entry.

• Entry is free, and skate rentals are only $5
• It will be going on until Christmas Eve

Entry is free, so if you’ve got your own pair of skates you can just hop on in. Otherwise, rent a pair for $5 – there will be both quads and blades available in sizes from Junior 10 to men’s 13.
