Sprout Bakery is a staple bread merchant, bakers of the finest sour dough breads and fresh pasta. Serving out of their window, this take home item will have your breakfasts, lunches and dinners sorted following your visit. Make it a sandwich with Oakwood Smallgoods Co. and their cured meats. You have prosciutto, smoked ham, smoked bacon, frankfurts, sausages, and more to choose from.
For your organic items, look no further than Harvest Fruit and Veg and their fresh produce, and lock into dairy with Long Paddock Cheese from French artisan cheesemaker, Ivan Larcher and his dedicated team. Another diary item comes from Icecream Republic and their various flavours of natural, hand made icecreams, gelato and sorbets. Continue the indulging with Cabosse & Feve Chocolates, the most mouthwatering and ethically made chocolates you’ll ever eat. Finally, top it all off with a drink at small-batch shared space Boomtown Wine, or grab a slice and cold brew at Shedshaker Brewing, where live music makes up their offering.
Outside of the world-tour of eats, shop up a storm at the vintage precinct, Castlemaine Vintage Bazaar where you can dig through crates, racks and stalls of vintage, re-purposed, hand-made and second hand treasures. There are also artisan products on offer throughout The Mill Castlemaine, including makers of furniture, garments, decor items, body products including bath soaks and perfume, and take home a gorgeous bunch of natives from the ethical florist on site. Adding to the offering is the arts precinct where you will find artists actively making works, exhibiting and running workshops inside their studios.
That’s just the tip of the iceberg – The Mill Castlemaine has so much to explore. Be sure to bring an empty belly and a full wallet!
