Sailors’ Rest rooftop bids farewell for another season with an epic party

It signals the end of summer and sun-soaked sessions at the venue

Geelong’s waterfront nightlife is set for one final flourish as Sailors’ Rest prepares to close its rooftop for the season. On Saturday 4 April, the iconic venue invites locals and visitors alike to its Rooftop Closing Party, promising a night of music, cocktails, and celebration—all with free entry.

Presented by Kick the Rules, the event marks the last chance to soak up summer skies and city views from the rooftop before winter arrives. From 5 PM, the space will pulse with a stacked lineup of local DJs (set to drop soon), bringing energy and beats through until late. The first 150 guests will be welcomed with a free shot, courtesy of Kick the Rules, while epic drink specials and a few surprises keep the party spirit alive.
