LIT 2026 brings a fresh glow with a dazzling array of illuminated installations and mesmerising projections, crafted by local and interstate artists. Among the highlights, the Western suburbs’ celebrated artist Bruce Ramus unveils Breeze, a hauntingly beautiful work of seven ethereal veils that sway between earth and sky, animated by wind and light. Sydney-based H0RSE makes their Victorian debut with two spellbinding installations: Macula, a spiralling bamboo tunnel that dances with light, and Silent Observers, a poignant projection celebrating the enduring presence of trees.
Expect moments of playful wonder with the whimsical, larger-than-life cassowaries by A Blanck Canvas, or lose yourself beneath the luminous canopy of Pixel Sky as Studio John Fish blends technology and artistry with signature flair. Local talent shines too, with Wyndham artist Rebecca Kable illuminating the Gobo path through her contemplative series Interwoven Tree.
LIT is not only a feast for the eyes but an event for the entire community. A sensory friendly evening on Monday 27 April ensures the magic is accessible for everyone, with limited capacity, softer lighting, reduced audio, and dedicated spaces for self-regulation. Helpful event staff in pink vests are on hand to assist, and downloadable Social Stories make preparation simple.

Visitors are encouraged to explore Werribee beyond the park, with local cafes, bars, and restaurants just steps away. While food and drinks cannot be purchased within the park, you are welcome to bring your own take-away fare and savour the evening beneath the glowing artistry. Please note, LIT is an alcohol-free event.
Access Wyndham Park via three pedestrian entry points: Wedge Street Piazza on Watton Street, across the Werribee Bicentennial Bridge from Comben Drive, or through the Wyndham Park Skate Park via Cottrell Street Car Park or Werribee Street North.
LIT 2026 promises to illuminate the autumn nights with creativity, wonder, and a deep sense of community. Every corner of Wyndham Park offers a new visual delight, a playful surprise, and a reminder of the landscape’s quiet magic.
