Melbourne’s KAIJU! Beer is unleashing a powerful new creation this International Women’s Day. The brewery’s all-female team has crafted Imperatrix, a hoppy pilsner that embodies resilience, unity, and strength. More than just a drink, Imperatrix is a statement. Imperatrix isn’t just another pilsner. It is a dynamic twist on the classic style, featuring a blend of New Zealand’s finest hops, Riwaka, Motueka, and Nelson Sauvin, each contributing to a crisp, aromatic beer that is as sophisticated as it is refreshing. It is a modern evolution of a traditional favourite, crafted to capture the bold spirit of the women behind it.

The name Imperatrix, Latin for a female ruler, reflects the empowering nature of the project. With every step, from recipe development to packaging, this release is led entirely by the women of KAIJU! Beer. To bring the concept to life visually, the team worked with acclaimed Melbourne artist Estée Angéline, whose label design channels the theme of feminine power and authority with striking elegance.

The mission behind Imperatrix is clear: to raise awareness and funding for ovarian cancer research. KAIJU! Beer has committed to donating $10 from every case and $50 from every keg sold, with all proceeds directed to the OCRF. It is more than just a brew; it is an invitation to stand united for a cause that affects countless lives.

KAIJU! Beer, known for its bold flavours and distinctive monster-themed branding, is no stranger to shaking up the Australian craft beer scene. Since 2013, the independent, family-owned brewery has been blending technical skill with a playful spirit. Now, with Imperatrix, they are brewing with purpose, proving once again that great beer can make a difference.
