Gin meets jazz in this sultry September event

To use Duke Silver's slinky catchphrase "It might be cold outside, but it's about to get warm all up in *Black Sheep's* jazz"

Smooth jazz meets the bold burn of gin in this special Black Sheep event.

On Friday 19 September from 6pm, Black Sheep Geelong are hosting an immersive Gin & Jazz Dinner with their Chamber of gin members, Flowstate Brewers & Distillers. The evening will see the two team up for a showcase of Geelong distilled gin varieties, paired with a curated menu of Black Sheep dishes, and underscored by the soulful serenading of jazz singing.

Just one the of the main speciality events run by Black Sheep throughout the year, the Gin & Jazz Dinner deep dives into the collection of Flowstate Brewers & Distillery. Based in Torquay on the Surf Coast, Flowstate Brewers & Distillers was founded by 2 brothers Leigh and Shaun. With their background in brewing and building, they take a different approach to the way they do things. While they’re not bound by tradition, Flowstate show respect to the craft with practical creativity.

Their gins will be transformed into impressive cocktails to pair perfectly with Black Sheep’s dishes. The teaser menu includes Marinated olives, pickled gherkins & onions, Gruyere cheese, smoked ham,
salami, prosciutto & crackers, and poached prawns & grilled flat bread, w olive oil [GFO, DFO] with a pairing of Flowstate Craft Gin. Additionally, Roasted Eye Fillet (medium), duchess potatoes, brussel sprouts & waldorf salad [GF] and paired with Flowstate Throwback Gin. On the dessert front there will be a surprise liquid dessert cocktail with Flowstate’s Cohort Coffee Liqueur being the hero.

The dinner is heightened by the delectable stylings of retro soul singer, Ashleigh Watson who will perform throughout the night. Not only will you be treated with delicious cocktails and European-inspired dishes to match, you’ll also have a full evening of entertainment as well.
