Blank Nights is the debut EP from Ballarat’s Horris Green, and they’re launching it at local haunt The Karova on October 10. Featuring Lachlan Murphy and James McDougall, their sound is a combination of Lachie’s blues rock influences and the hardcore/metal roots of James. Melbourne two-piece The Hunted Crows and fellow Ballarat outfit Tsugnarly will join them on the night.

Aesthesis, the new album from Brisbane’s Dead Letter Circus, is now available for everyone to enjoy. With more than a few credits in the bank, the band was able to assemble the team of Matt Bartlem, Zach Hylton (The Getaway Plan, Jarryd James) and Forrester Savell (Karnivool, The Occupants) for their third release.

Geelong’s newest exciting business venture is officially opening its doors today. The part cafe and part creative studio, Craft Space, opens from 11am-3pm with the first 60 customers to receive a bag of goodies and everyone else able to purchase some damn tasty treats.

In 2013, Metal-Roos was founded as a way to promote Australia’s metal scene. They’re behind Metal United Down Under, an event which unites a stack of promoters, 16 Australian cities, eight Australian states/territories and 14 media partners on the same night.

The Basics, Thirsty Merc, Kisschasy and Little Birdy were among the bands to form out of Australia in 2002. So, too, did The Go Set. Fusing the undertones of folk punk and Celtic punk, the Melbourne outfit was formed by Justin Keenan following the disbanding of his previous outfit, Eddie Would Go.
