The Appeal is being delivered through the Bank’s charitable arm, the Community Enterprise Foundation, which has extensive experience running disaster relief appeals across Victoria. Importantly, funds raised through the appeal will remain within the affected regions, ensuring support is directed where it is needed most and helping communities recover both now and into the future.

Bendigo Bank CEO Richard Fennell said the scale of the fires highlighted the need for swift and collective action, particularly as families face displacement and property loss.

“Recovering from a disaster of this magnitude is a marathon, not a sprint,” Fennell said. “This appeal is about providing immediate relief while also building long-term resilience in the communities that need it most. Supporting regional Victoria is part of who we are.”

The Community Enterprise Foundation has a long history of supporting communities in crisis. Since 2020, it has distributed more than $40 million to bushfire-impacted communities, with more than $220 million dispersed overall since the Foundation was established in 2005. The bank further revealed that for FY2025, Bendigo Bank shared $50.2 million dollars with Australian communities, funding local projects with big impacts.

Members of the public are encouraged to make monetary donations, which are faster and more flexible than goods donations. Contributions can be made online or at any Bendigo Bank branch, with all donations of $2 or more tax deductible.

Bendigo Bank is also offering an assistance package for eligible customers affected by the fires, providing additional financial support during recovery.
