Now Open: Your newest food residents to hit the block

There's been a few new faces popping up in the world of food and drink lately.

Victoria’s hospitality scene is always evolving, with some new names popping up, some familiar favourites saying farewell and, of course, some staples supercharging their offering.

Our Now Open section includes some of the former – the fresh faces joining the food and drink squad serving up delicious belly-fillers to locals and visitors alike. Here is a list of some of the newer spots to open up in regional Victoria across September and October, that are branded as must-try!

Sunbakers Bakery

WHEN: Daily from 6.30AM

WHERE: 14 Grubb Road Ocean Road

An orange glow has landed on Grubb Road as Sunbakers gets a second location. The Barwon Heads bakery has opened its doors slinging fresh bread, hot pies, cakes, coffee, sangas and salad rolls.

MexiCams

WHEN: DAILY FROM 12PM – LATE

WHERE: FEDERAL MILLS PRECINCT NORTH GEELONG

Expanding the Hamilton Property Group portfolio at the Federal Mills precinct of North Geelong, MexiCam’s is the newest restaurant and bar built off fiesta fever. Tacos, tequila, and too much fun including bowling and karaoke, MexiCams is here to spice things up.

Tillage Pizza

WHEN: TUES 12PM- 3 PM, WED – FRI 12PM – 3PM, 5PM – 8PM, SAT & SUN 12PM – 3PM, 5PM – 9PM

WHERE: 46B ROSLYN ROAD, BELMONT

Panini’s, pizzas and gelato have hit Belmont thanks to Tillage Pizza. The Roslyn Road location launched last month with a big pizza party to celebrate.

Emerge

WHEN: LUNCH 11:30AM, DINNER 5PM

WHERE: 31 LITTLE RYRIE ST, GEELONG

Geelong’s gluten-free steakhouse destination has a new home. Emerge Dining has moved to Little Ryrie Street in a sophisticated new space, repurposing their Ryrie Street venue as a function space.

The Esplanade Queenscliff

WHEN: DAILY, 11am – LATE

WHERE: 2 GELLIBRAND STREET, QUEENSCLIFF

The former Queenscliff Brewhouse has had a renovation and rebrand to The Esplanade. The local icon of the Bellarine has been restored to continue bringing fresh pints and good times to the region.

Uncle Donuts

WHEN: SUN – THU 8am – 7pm, FRI & SAT 8am – 9pm

WHERE: 76 MOUNTJOY PARADE LORNE

Uncle Donut has set up shop in Lorne for good. The store that would definitely get the Homer Simpson approval has painted Mountjoy Parade in pastel, bringing their tasty, glazed treats the to Great Ocean Road.
