The race for better health is back for 2024, as Geelong Advertisers Run4Geelong returns to the region. A sea of red will take over Geelong CBD on Sunday 10 November, as runners of all ages, sizes and abilities participate in a fun-run fundraiser for a deserving cause. Each year, Barwon Health provides care to over 500,000 people in our community through all stages of life and circumstance. Our local health service, Barwon Health holds a special place in the hearts of the people of Geelong with 100% of the monetary efforts of Run4Geelong through registration and donations used to support the vital work of the health care organisation. Participants can choose which area of the local health service their funds will support and each participant can raise funds through their own community network through activating a donations page.
Starting at Richie Boulevard on Geelong’s waterfront, the Run4Geelong event will be divided into four events. Participants can either walk or run the 1km Villawood Properties Kids Dash (U12 only), the 3km GMHBA Event, the 5km Geelong Advertiser Event or the 10km Hanlon Industries Event. Events will be spread across the morning starting from 8am.
For today only, Run4Geelong are hosting a Dollar4Dollar day, with supporter Geelong Travel jumping on board to match all donations made from Run4Geelong participants today up to $15,000. Your efforts doubled for nothing! It’s an incredible showcase of generosity and one that puts the 2024 Geelong Advertiser Run4Geelong on track to race towards being one of the biggest and best in recent years.
