There’s a new micro music festival coming to Mornington Peninsula

Over 30 music acts are taking over venues in Mornington Peninsula.

Balnarring is gearing up for Peninsula LIVE: Pretty Snazz in the Nazz, a vibrant, free all-ages music celebration set to take over the town on 21 March. Running from 10am to 11pm, this dynamic microfestival will showcase over 30 local bands and artists, offering an incredible day of homegrown talent and community connection.

Spanning multiple venues and outdoor spaces, Pretty Snazz in the Nazz will transform Balnarring into a buzzing music hub. From The Social Club Balnarring and the Balnarring Bowling Club to St Mark’s Anglican Church, plus outdoor stages at the Village Common and Skate Park, the festival promises a diverse mix of performances for all musical tastes.

Beyond the music, the event will feature a record fair, a drumming workshop with Poul Grage, a Welcome to Country by Jillian West, and a sizzling community BBQ run by Balnarring CFA, with sponsorship from Community Bank Balnarring.

Presented by Mornington Peninsula Shire in collaboration with the Live Music Office, this microfestival aims to support the region’s local music scene and provide a platform for emerging artists. With backing from OneMusic Australia, APRA AMCOS, and Music Australia, the event fosters new opportunities for local musicians, venues, and industry professionals across the Peninsula.

Pretty Snazz in the Nazz is the first of two Peninsula LIVE microfestivals planned for 2026. The event will not only bring top-tier performances but also activate public spaces and celebrate creativity in all its forms, providing a platform for the next generation of local talent. Expect a rich blend of rock, folk, experimental, and more, as Balnarring becomes the ultimate destination for music lovers and community enthusiasts.

With Mornington Peninsula building its reputation as a hub for arts and culture, Pretty Snazz in the Nazz shows that epic live music experiences don’t have to be confined to the big cities.
