Temple of Desire

WHEN: SAT 18 APR
WHERE: Geelong Arts Centre, Geelong
Temple of Desire is a visually stunning dance-theatre experience where 15 Bharatanatyam-trained dancers explore the intersection of spirituality and sensuality. Anchored in cultural acknowledgment and reflections on colonial loss and gendered oppression, the work invites audiences into a realm of beauty, euphoria, and liberation. Fresh from sell-out seasons and award-winning acclaim, Karma Dance presents a transformative journey of tradition and subversion.

Trophy Boys

When: FRI 24 APR
Where; Her Majesty’s Theatre, Ballarat
Trophy Boys is a bold, satirical exploration of toxic masculinity in elite boys’ schools. Following a Year 12 debating team facing a shocking sexual assault allegation, this drag-infused performance interrogates misogyny, homophobia, and privilege with wit and irreverence. Performed by a female and non-binary cast, it exposes the cultural pipeline to power while delivering sharp, campy, and unflinching critique.

Oshun

WHEN: 10 – 12 APR
WHERE: The Engine Room, Bendigo
Oshun is a vibrant, one-woman show blending dance, soul songs, and live drumming to bring the Yoruba Orishas to life. Following the goddess of love and sensuality, Oshun, the performance celebrates her strength, resilience, and power. Accompanied by traditional bata drums, Amarantha embodies nine Orisha characters in a captivating 55-minute exploration of mythology, rhythm, and self-discovery.

Funny Farm

WHEN: SAT 11 APR
WHERE: Bellarine Arts Centre, Drysdale
The Farmy Farm is a rollicking, acrobatic adventure with Kenny & Jenny in the heart of Legend Farms. Combining circus, comedy, and farmyard fun, the show features high-flying carrots, towering hay acrobatics, and jaw-dropping stunts. Created with Stunned Mullet Circus, this award-winning team delivers laughs, daring feats, and a day in the life of two irrepressible, all-round larrikins.

And It Passed . . .

WHEN: THU 16 APR
WHERE: Riverlinks Wideside, Mooroopna
And it Passed… by Chimene Steele Prior is a mesmerising dance work exploring life’s cycles—beginnings and endings, creation and destruction, grief and joy—through the metaphor of the wave. Local dancers, shaped by a four-day creative workshop with Transit Dance choreographers, join the stage to present new, original movement alongside Prior’s evocative choreography and Paul Malek’s emotive score.
