Moama’s Horseshoe Lagoon acts as a backdrop to the stunning state-of-the-art installation, projection and cutting-edge moving light technology that makes up Moama Lights. Telling stories from across the region through the theme “Enchanted Nights: A Celebration of Light”, Moama Lights had a stellar opening this weekend, running Thursday through Sunday, each weekend until 28 July.

Paying homage to the Banjo Paterson’s evocative poem The Daylight is Dying, Moama Lights engaged world-class studio MandyLights to curate, design and produce and dazzling display. The setting of the sun signals the transportation into the magical, irradiate ecosystem of the Moama Horseshoe Lagoon night-time.
This year’s event highlights the mysteries of the bushland with features like illuminated ripples dancing on the water’s surface and projections of children’s artworks spread across the lagoon. Spectacular Indigenous artworks by First Nations artist Warrick Keen and the brilliant contemporary Yorta Yorta artist Alkina Edwards also light up the region.
