James Reyne, Ella Hooper announce rescheduled Way Out West tour dates

Following James Reyne’s recent ankle injury and subsequent rescheduling of the Way Out West Tour, James and Ella are pleased to share all new dates.

The tour will now commence next week, Friday June 23 at Empire Theatre, Toowoomba, before they head off to Perth and Fremantle at the end of June, and then back across the country through July, August and into September.

James has also added a show for Alexandra Hills Hotel with exciting young Sydney band, The Hollywood Waltz, on June 24 at Alexandra Hills Hotel – complete with an 8-piece band, playing all the hits.

James said, “Just a quick update from CAM moon-boot world. I have seen the specialist who was MOST encouraging indeed. It seems I’ve been a good patient and have been doing all – and that’s not much – that I was told to do and things are looking positive. They’ve upped the REHAB ante somewhat and I’m doing lots of physio; stretching the ankle, pushing it, pulling it, clock-wises, anti-clockwises, shaping out the alphabet with my foot, cold water, hot water, pool work, you name it.

“The long and short of it is that she assures me I’ll be ready and raring to go to re-start our Way Out West Tour with the lovely Ella Hooper in Toowoomba on the 23rd of June and beyond.  I’m excited and am going to RELISH each and every day and gig, every beautiful and bountiful experience I have, every wonderful, inquisitive, well-meaning and heartfelt person I encounter.  Chipper. Convivial. Corky. Perky. Sunny side up, man. Pleased as Punch. Happy as a clam. A regular ray of zippy sunshine. Happiness Jim, that’s me. It’s going to be sickening!!”

James and Ella have also released a new version Reyne’s 1992 hit with James Blundell, Way Out West, the song originally released by The Dingoes back in 1973.
