Okay – the pun was bad, but the gigs happening across this month in Victoria are definitely not. There’s Chris Issak’s A Day On The Green support stepping into an intimate setting for what is no doubt going to be a shed-shaking affair, there’s punk greats from Chicago landing in Eaglehawk, there’s Australia’s finest rockers racing to regional spots, and there’s sister slayers dressing to the nines, whilst making their way through their ninth record.

Honestly, could you want any more? For the greedy, there are even more gigs to fill your belly!

The Mojo Corner

WHEN: SAT 2 MAY

WHERE: BELLS BEACH BREWING, TORQUAY

For an intimate night at Bells Beach Brewing Co, The Mojo Corner bring over a decade of tight, energetic performances to the stage. Blending rock, roots, blues, and soul, their heartfelt songs have toured Australia’s biggest festivals and shared stages with renowned artists. The evening also features support from Will Gibb, promising a close-up, memorable live experience. 

 

FACS (USA)

WHEN: THU 7 MAY

WHERE: TRASH CULT RECORDS, EAGLEHAWK

Chicago post-punk trio FACS make their long-awaited Australian debut this May, bringing their stark, driving minimalism to stages nationwide in support of their sixth studio album, Wish Defense (Trouble In Mind). Recorded by the late Steve Albini, the album explores identity, duality, and introspection. Known for intense, immersive performances, FACS are joined for one show by Castlemaine noise-makers DEAD.

WHEN: FRI 15 MAY

WHERE: BARWON HEADS HOTEL, BARWON HEADS

Melbourne rockers Jet hit the road for The Rumblin’ Regional Revue, bringing their high-energy live show to regional venues. With global hits like ‘Are You Gonna Be My Girl’, ‘Look What You’ve Done’, and ‘Rollover DJ’, the band continues to deliver electrifying performances, showcasing the melodic rock sound that made them an international sensation and ARIA Hall of Fame inductees.

The Wolfe Brothers

WHEN: SAT 16 MAY

WHERE: HER MAJESTY’S THEATRE, BALLARAT

Country rock icons The Wolfe Brothers hit the road on their biggest tour yet, mixing fan favourites with tracks from their #1 album Australian Made, which earned 5 Golden Guitars including ‘Album of the Year’. With 7 studio albums and a record 15 Golden Guitars to their name, the band delivers high-energy performances, joined by special guest Taylor Moss.

Filthy Rocks

WHEN: SAT 16 MAY

WHERE: MEDUSA BAR, GEELONG

Filthy Rocks kick off their tour with a send-off party at Geelong’s Medusa Bar, joined by Silverlake and Grumble. The three-piece Australian pop-punk band blends punk, alt-rock, and metal with catchy 2000s-style hooks. Known for theatrical, high-energy shows that pull fans on stage and a debut album, So Long… And Thanks For The Honourable Mention, which has earned widespread acclaim, you’d be a fool to miss this salute.
