Geelong to send off Victorian Vibes with free concert

The Vibe train rolls to a fantastic finish on regional run.

ALWAYS LIVE has today announced Geelong as the last stop in its Victorian Vibes series, bringing the celebrated free pop-up live music experience to the heart of Victoria’s second city on Saturday 27 June.

The announcement marks the close of a remarkable journey that has taken Victorian Vibes across the state’s most beloved regional communities – from the goldfields of Bendigo to the orchards of Shepparton, the surf coast of Lorne, the heritage streetscapes of Ballarat and the cultural hub of Gippsland in Traralgon. Travelling more than 2,000 kilometres around Victoria, the series spread joy and delight with over 20 free pop-up live music performances uniting thousands of Victorians at every stop.

Along the way, ALWAYS LIVE Victorian Vibes has featured an extraordinary roll call of Australian artists, including Angus & Julia Stone, Matt Corby, King Stingray, Boy & Bear, Augie March, Middle Kids and many more, each bringing their own unique energy with audiences sharing it right back.

For the series’ send-off, Victorian Vibes rolls into Geelong for an afternoon of live music and community celebration in a city that knows how to rock. After five stops, 18 featured artists and countless memorable moments – with more still to come through Geelong – the day will round out an unforgettable run that has meant as much to the communities it visited as it has to everyone who helped bring it to life.

Supported by the Victorian Government through Visit Victoria, Victorian Vibes forms part of ALWAYS LIVE’s broader mission to showcase Victoria through the power of live music, supporting local businesses and tourism while reflecting the full diversity and identity of the state.

In keeping with the series’ signature format, artists and exact locations will be revealed in the lead-up to the event via ALWAYS LIVE’s digital channels. Anyone planning to attend must register via alwayslive.com.au. Only those registered will receive exact performance times and locations closer to the day. Note that each town has its own unique registration link, so previous attendees will need to register fresh for Geelong.
