Located just over an hour from Melbourne and minutes from the Surf Coast, Mount Duneed Estate has long been recognised as one of the region’s premier hospitality destinations. The new development aims to complement the opportunities created by the convention centre, offering organisers a premium venue for conferences, networking events, awards nights, charity balls and large-scale corporate functions.
Despite the increased capacity, the venue’s focus remains firmly on personalised service and hospitality.
“The same exceptional event management, attentive service and welcoming experience guests have come to expect will remain at the heart of what we do, just on a much larger scale,” the team offer on their social media announcement.
The expanded facilities will feature flexible configurations, allowing the space to transition seamlessly from intimate gatherings of 50 guests to large-scale events for hundreds. Guests will continue to benefit from complimentary on-site parking, full table service for food and beverages, dedicated event coordination, security services and access to both indoor and outdoor event spaces. Transport solutions to and from conference venues will also be available.
The announcement comes as Geelong continues to strengthen its reputation as a destination for business events and tourism, with increasing investment in accommodation, hospitality and event infrastructure across the region.
Mount Duneed Estate is already well known beyond the corporate sector. Set across 100 acres of rolling countryside, the estate combines a winery, restaurant and luxury accommodation, offering visitors a quintessential regional Victorian experience. It’s a favourite wedding spot, and is also home to the Geelong leg of the iconic A Day on the Green concert series, which has attracted some of the world’s biggest touring artists to the region, including The Killers, Elton John, Florence and the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chris Isaak, Cold Chisel and Fatboy Slim.
With Nyaal Banyul set to attract major conferences and events to the region, Mount Duneed Estate’s expansion arrives at a pivotal moment, creating new opportunities for organisers seeking a sophisticated venue that combines regional charm with large-scale capability. For Geelong’s events industry, it signals growing confidence in the region’s ability to host bigger, more ambitious gatherings than ever before.
