The lineup will celebrate Angus and Julia Stone who are currently promoting their latest album Karaoke, and about to embark on a European Summer tour. Known for soundtracking the 2010’s to today with hits ‘Big Jet Plane’ and ‘Chateau’, the sibling duo are on a high streak. Shepparton’s Victorian Vibes is a great chance to see them in an intimate and up close setting.
The series’ recent stop in Bendigo left an indelible mark, with Matt Corby delivering a spellbinding finale to an afternoon of standout performances. From the ethereal draw of Queenie to King Stingray’s commanding stage presence, and local artist Emma Gleeson’s luminous opening set, the Goldfields crowds radiated the vibrant, communal energy that has become synonymous with Victorian Vibes.
“Bendigo was something else – we’ve been blown away by the reception in every town we’ve visited and can’t wait to feel Shepparton’s energy next,” said ALWAYS LIVE CEO Psyche Payne.
Jaclyn Symes, Treasurer and Member for Northern Victoria, reflected on the significance of the series: “Victorian Vibes is a fantastic opportunity to showcase our region, inviting visitors to experience the live music scene while exploring everything the Goulburn Valley has to offer. From local cafes and restaurants to hotels and retailers, events like this create real benefits for regional businesses and encourage visitors to stay longer and discover more.”
Shepparton offers the perfect backdrop for this next chapter of Victorian Vibes. With a city known for its warmth, creativity, and love of live music, the Murray region’s rich cultural tapestry promises an unforgettable afternoon. Its vibrant local scene, diverse talent, and community spirit set the stage for an experience as distinctive as it is electrifying. Whilst in the region this weekend, be sure to head to SAM to explore the blockbuster exhibition Facing Modernity: From Degas to Picasso.
Victorian Vibes continues across regional Victoria every second weekend through to the end of June, with further events on the horizon. Supported by the Victorian Government through Visit Victoria, the series reflects ALWAYS LIVE’s ongoing mission: to celebrate Victoria through the power of live music, support local businesses, and showcase the state’s extraordinary diversity and creative identity.
