The Doll Trilogy: The Complete Series

Red Stitch Theatre presents Ray Lawler’s The Doll Trilogy in its entirety for the first time in 40 years. Spanning 1937 to 1953, the trilogy follows Roo, Barney, Olive, and Nancy through love, loss, and societal change in Melbourne. From the playful optimism of Kid Stakes, through the war-shadowed Other Times, to the poignant Summer of the Seventeenth Doll, audiences will witness a rich tapestry of Australian life, resilience, and transformation, performed by one ensemble in a single, unforgettable day.
