Can’t find a spot? Here’s our guide to Geelong’s parking options

We've all been there; running a little late and there's not a carpark in sight - hopefully our comprehensive list of options is your new parking angel

In total, there are more than 4700 off-street car parks and 5400 on-street car parks in Central Geelong, with both short and long term options available – so why does it always feel like you’re missing out?

We can’t solve that issue, but maybe this will help the next time you’re looking to strike gold!

Here are some good spots to look for a car space:

Brougham Street 

• (Yarra – Bellerine) middle of the road $7.20 all day
• (Yarra – Bellerine) $7.20 per 3-hour period
• (centre road Gheringhap – Mercer) $7.20 all day

Bellarine Street 

• (east side between Corio Street and Eastern Beach Road) – $7.20 all day

Busport Car Park 

• 124 casual parking spaces will be available on Level 2, priced at $15* per day, payable via the EasyPark app only (*Plus EasyPark fees apply). Parking is available from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM, 7 days a week.

Garden Street – Eastern Beach end 

• All day free parking 

Haymarket Car Park – Myers Street 

• All day metered bays – $15 all day or $3.60 per hour 

Hearne Parade – above Easter Beach 

All day free parking

Ritchie Boulevard – (beyond Geelong Yacht Club) 

• $7.20 all day 

Western Beach – (adjacent to Cunningham Pier) 

• Permits (Monday to Friday) and 3 hour (3P) $7.20 per 3-hours (4P)

Western Beach Road 

• (north side between Gheringhap and Cavendish Streets) $7.20 all day
• (south side between Gheringhap and Cavendish Streets) $7.20 per 4-hours (4P)

The City of Greater Geelong says parking fees and time limits are in place to ensure turnover of car spaces during busy periods so more people can access shops and businesses each day.

In general terms parking time limits are shorter within the inner core of the city whilst longer time limits are more readily available as you move further out.
