Melbourne just gained a drive-in rooftop cinema for summer

Morphing a meteoric screen-space with first-release movie showings and a panoramic view of Melbourne from above – a cinematic experience has never been so romantic.

Featuring blockbusters Allied, Red Dog: True Blue, Trolls, Why Him?, Passengers, Assassin’s Creed, Monster Trucks and XXX: Return of Xander Cage over its first few weeks, The Backlot Rooftop Drive-in accommodates 60 vehicles whilst walk-up patrons have the option of viewing films from the ‘blue deck’ seating area.

Tasty treats from the candy bar will be on offer as well as a host of other delectable food options for when you want to miss the gory battle scenes.

The Backlot Rooftop Drive-in will take over Docklands’ Harbour Town precinct from Boxing Day. Tickets now available via the venue website.
